The great loss of our memory- our forgetfulness of war, slavery, greed, discrimination and environmental destruction. The inevitable loss of our sight, resolution and understanding of things in the past. We have progressed by moving away from history, but the past continues to exist. Memories and trauma were inherited. We witness memory exploited by new leaders of each era and the indoctrination of truth.
FUTURE MEMORY saves proof of history in multi-dimensional high resolution data by combining modern technology and historical collections of man’s brutality to man. Traditional still life and exploring 21st century documentation of object, nature and museum. An attempt to create the future of memory by sharing those memories as new experiences for the world. In contrast and mirror to pop art, these important objects calcify an understanding of trauma and memorialize that trauma to recreate the icon.

FUTURE MEMORYは日米のアーティストAkira Fujimoto / Cannon Herseyが中心となって行うアートプロジェクトであり、考現学、ジャーナリズム、メディア論、写真論、多義に渡る横断的行為である。記憶の込められた遺物をモチーフに「現実を超えた静物画」というアート作品として提案する。
戦争や災害などの大いなる喪失の記憶は、時代の移行と共に解像度が下がってしまう。我々は時に歴史を遠ざけることで進歩してきた。しかし過去は存在し続け、一方で各時代の新たな担い手によって何度も読みかえられながら記憶は継承される。FUTURE MEMORYは現代の記録技術の組合せによって、薄れゆく歴史の証拠を多次元的に高解像度で記録し、世界に共有することで、記憶の未来を創る試みである。

ZERO Project creates opportunities to discuss the environment, community, human rights and social innovation through art, media, and immersive education experiences. Zero Project brings together an annual international gathering of regional and global thought-leaders, students, innovators, artists, educators, policy leaders and multi-generational audiences to explore solutions to our times most pressing issues. Zero Project listens to the survivor’s experience of building a new way from the ashes of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. By listening to the darkest moments of history and studying the rebuilding process, we can create a world we want our children to live within.

ZERO Projectは、誰もが参加できる学びと気づきと表現の「場」。アートや音楽、映像やメディアを通して、環境やコミュニティ、人権などのテーマでより良い社会を作るために一人一人が何ができるのか考え表現する機会を創ります。世界からアーティスト、教育者、識者や若者が集まり、世界共通の社会問題に対して画期的な解決策を考えます。つらく暗い歴史も直視し、そこから蘇った不屈の精神に学び、自分たちの未来をを作り出すためには何ができるのか、考えます。
